Campbell County Public Library System to Offer 1000 Things Before Kindergarten
RUSTBURG, VA – The Campbell County Public Library System, in partnership with the Library of Virginia, the Soho Center, and the Institute of Museum and Library Services, offers the free program 1000 Things Before Kindergarten to the community.
The goal of this program is to help children aged 0 – 5 years prepare for kindergarten through fun, engaging, everyday activities. Any activity that promotes growth and development counts toward a child’s 1000 “things.” After the completion of each 100 things, each child receives milestone rewards: a book, certificate, and brag tag.
The CCPLS program is available to families who have a parent or guardian who resides in Campbell County.
Parents and guardians can track activities on the Beanstack app or on printable tracking logs. The logs and more information about the program, including resources for inspiration, can be accessed on the CCPLS website at https://campbellcountylibraries.org/1000things/. Interested families can also find information at each of the CCPLS locations.
