Denise Scruggs, director of the Beard Center on Aging at the University of Lynchburg, will present the program “Understanding Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia” at Timbrook Library on Wednesday, June 8, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
One of the health conditions people worry about the most is dementia, and this concern increases as we age. In this program we will talk about the difference between normal aging and dementia; cover the symptoms, risks, and diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease and other types of dementia; and share strategies for promoting brain health.
This program is for adults and is free and open to the public.
