Friends of the Staunton River Memorial Library in Altavista
The Friends of the Staunton River Memorial Library are supporters of Library programs and services. Recently, the Friends have provided the library with several items such as bookmarks, bulletin board materials, posters, kits to use when groups come for field trips, a paper shredder for staff, puppets, flannel board materials, refreshments for library programs, window clings and windsocks for decoration in the Children and Young Adult rooms, flowers for adult and literacy areas, prizes for Summer Winter Reading programs, and much more. Additionally, the Friends often sponsor author signing events and other outside events such as the Santa and Mrs. Claus event scheduled each year.
Book Donations to support the sales
Public donations are crucial for our sales; we resell books, video and audio cassettes, and DVDs. Donations of materials in good condition are appreciated and can be delivered directly to the library during regular hours.
Monetary Donations
Accepted in the form of cash or check any time during regular library hours.
